Policy
The Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC) will make an attempt to minimize the gap between the expectations of the industry and the graduating engineers of our Institution. IIIC will strengthen the linkages with the industry and research organizations. IIIC will train our students in collaboration with the industries professionally in the state-of-art technology areas to meeting the specific needs of Industry in order to make them fully employable.

Mission
To facilitate seamless interaction between the institution and industry, through educational programs, collaborative research, consultancy, and training, ensuring the development of industry-ready professionals and contributing to societal progress.
Objectives
- Expose Technical students to the industrial environment, which cannot be simulated in the classroom and hence create competent professionals in the industry.
- Provide possible opportunities to learn, understand and sharpen the real time technical / managerial skills required at the job.
- Expose to the current technological developments relevant to the subject area of training.
- Use the experience gained from the industrial internship in discussions held in the classrooms.
- Create conditions conducive to quest for knowledge and its applicability on the job.
- Learn to apply technical knowledge in real industrial situations.
- Gain experience in writing reports in technical works/projects.
- Expose students to the engineer’s responsibilities and ethics.
- Familiarize with various materials, processes, products and their applications along with relevant aspects of quality control and safety measures.
- Promote academic, career and/or personal development.
- Expose the students to future employers.
- Make students available to industry for employment.
- Understand the psychology of the workers and their habits, attitudes and approach to problem-solving.
- Understand the social, economic and administrative considerations that influence the working environment of industrial organizations.

Activities of VECW-IIIC
- Identify scientific and technical requirements of industries.
- Promote joint research programmes with industries.
- Conduct research activities involving faculty and students.
- Organize workshops, seminars, conferences and training programs.
- Invite industry experts to Board of Studies and Academic Council.
- Organize industrial visits and study tours.
- Create research infrastructure and facilities.
- Provide consultancy services to industries.
- Invite industry experts as visiting faculty.
- Arrange internship programs for students.
- Sign MoUs with industries for training and placements.
- Prepare students according to industry needs.

Instructions to Interns
- Report to the organization on the first day as per internship schedule.
- Understand the organization structure and working system.
- Work on live projects assigned by the organization.
- Maintain a daily logbook with supervisor signature.
- Maintain 100% attendance during internship.
- Follow all rules and safety guidelines of the organization.
- Submit internship certificate after completion.

Roles and Responsibilities of Internship Coordinators
- Act as a communication bridge between IIIC, TPO Cell and departments.
- Handle internship related queries of students.
- Approve off-campus internship requests.
- Coordinate internship information with T&P office.
- Evaluate student performance during internships.
