About the Library

Vaagdevi Engineering College is the best Engineering College in Warangal established its Library in the year 2008. Our Library is at par with top Engineering colleges, serving as a gateway to a world of information with our faculty, staff and students having unlimited access to a wealth of Information found in resources like books, magazines, Journals, and the Internet. In addition, the library of our college offers spacious seating arrangements in three floors and a calm ambience for learning. Our college started its library with a vision to serve the information needs of its users and it mainly holds books related to Engineering, Management and allied subjects. The library has a collection of around 31000 Textbooks volumes and also thousands of E-Books and E-Journals including reference, textbooks, humanities, and management, at par with that of best engineering colleges. The library’s amazingly rich collection contains Abstracts, Textbooks, and General books.

Library Services & Facilities
  • Digital Library

    Provides access to e-books, e-journals, online databases, NPTEL videos, and internet facilities for academic and research purposes.

  • Reference Section

    Contains encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, manuals, yearbooks, and competitive exam materials. These resources are for in-library use only.

  • Acquisition Section

    Responsible for procurement of books, journals, and other learning resources based on syllabus requirements and faculty recommendations.

  • Technical Section

    Handles classification, cataloguing, barcoding, and processing of library materials for systematic arrangement and easy retrieval.

  • Periodical Section

    Provides access to national and international journals, magazines, newspapers, and technical periodicals to keep users updated with current developments.

  • Circulation Section

    Facilitates issue, return, renewal, and reservation of books, along with membership services.

  • Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC)

    Enables users to search library holdings by title, author, subject, accession number, and keywords through a computerized system.

  • Reprography

    Provides photocopying and scanning facilities for academic materials at nominal charges, subject to copyright norms.

  • Reading Hall

    Offers a spacious and well-ventilated study area with adequate seating for students and faculty to read and prepare in a quiet environment.

Library Rules & Regulations
  • The borrower must carry the Identity Card to issue, return, or renew books.
  • Sign in the Visitors Register before entering the library.
  • Maintain strict silence and keep mobile phones in silent mode inside the library premises.
  • Three books will be issued to each student for a period of 30 days.
  • A fine of one rupee per day will be charged if the book is not returned on the due date.
  • Students must check the condition of the book before issue and report any damage to the library staff.
  • Loss of a borrowed book must be reported immediately. The student must replace the latest edition or pay its cost along with overdue charges.
  • Reference books will not be issued.
  • Recall of books is at the discretion of the Librarian.
  • Bags and personal belongings are not allowed inside. Keep them at the property counter at your own risk.
  • The library is not responsible for loss or damage of personal property.
  • While leaving, students must show bags, files, and books to the library staff at the checkpoint.
  • The Librarian reserves the right to suspend membership of anyone misbehaving with the staff.
Library Committee

The Library Committee reviews and recommends policies for the Library, with particular attention to budget allocation and distribution of resources among academic divisions. It acts as a communication channel between the Library, faculty, staff and students, ensuring alignment with institutional needs.
