PEO 1: To provide students with a foundation in the principles of computer science and engineering, including mathematics and basic engineering to solve technological issues of modern society.
PEO 2: To provide students a breadth of knowledge in computer science and related engineering disciplines in order to enable them to understand engineering trade-offs across multiple disciplines, work effectively as an individual and as a member.
PEO 3: To provide awareness of security and laws pertaining to cyber usage, ethical issues related to computing and to provide knowledge on subject protection through Intellectual Property Rights.
PEO 4: To provide students with specialized knowledge in focused areas of their choice, in order to strengthen them to make contributions to a specific discipline and pursue post-graduation or research.
PEO 5: To train students in problem solving skills in design, development and analysis for interpretation and synthesis of data and create awareness for lifelong learning.
Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
PSO 1: Apply the knowledge about principles of programming languages, Computer Algorithms, Databases, System Software and Computer Networks for the interconnection.
PSO 2: Interpret and analyse the problem, formulate an efficient hardware and software solution for real-world socio-industry related problems and needs using computing methodologies and latest technologies.
PSO 3: Fulfilling desire by attaining employment, excelling in competitive examinations, higher studies, research, and initiating start-ups.
Intake
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering commenced its journey in 2008 with an initial intake of 60 students in B.Tech CSE, 30 students in M.Tech CSE and 180 students in MCA. Over the years, the department has grown significantly and now offers three undergraduate programmes:
- B.Tech CSE – Intake of 240 students
- B.Tech CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) – Intake of 120 students
- B.Tech CSE (Data Science) – Intake of 120 students
The department is driven by a team of highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated faculty members who are deeply committed to the holistic development of students and the progress of the institution. With expertise across diverse domains, faculty actively engage students in research activities, skill development programs, technical forums, and collaborative projects. They encourage innovation, teamwork, and effective communication, fostering both professional competence and personal growth.
The campus is Wi-Fi enabled and equipped with ICT-enabled lecture halls, seminar halls, libraries, collaborative learning spaces, and state-of-the-art laboratories. The labs are powered with licensed and open-source software tools and high-end computing systems to support academic learning, research, and project execution. Additionally, the department hosts a dedicated IoT Centre of Excellence, offering advanced infrastructure to drive innovation in emerging technologies.
